Field application engineer (Spanish and Portuguese languages)

Ruptela is looking for a Field application engineer to join our driven Mexico team!

We provide fleet management solutions based on GPS tracking and real-time vehicle monitoring and control. A career as a Field Application Engineer (FAE) requires you to be adept in your technical knowledge as well as your business skills. The role of a FAE is taking part in assisting in big scale pre-sales, testing, and post sales activities. The FAE is required to develop skills on his current product features, tools and design flows and facilitate adoption of these solutions with a variety of customer systems. While the pure sales-man helps open the doors for business, an FAE is expected to remove technical barriers to a sale and help close business. To thrive in this role one needs to enjoy practicing both the aspects of business and technical expertise.

• Assist customer to understand products and perform demo for various field applications (Software and hardware).
• Install and configure system and perform troubleshoot on process and resolve issues.
• Provide technical support to customer and configure services.
• Analyze customer requirement and ensure product meet customer requirements appropriately.
• Coordinate with Research and Development team, identify issues and resolve same.
• Perform troubleshoot on issues and perform tests on bugs.
• Develop and determine various product features, perform tests and prepare documents for same.
• Analyze applications and recommend expert advice for same.
• Maintain knowledge on industry trends and resolve all design issues.

• Higher education (technical background preferred)
• Experience in technical field, experience in transport telematics would be and advantage
• Ability to offer technical solutions for business problems
• Ability to explain technical information for both technical and non-technical people
• Ability to analyze the situation and find out of the box solutions
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a team as well as find solutions independently
